AI Literacy Reading Comprehension Worksheets

Nobody trained me to teach artificial intelligence. It wasn't a class when I went through school, and most curriculum departments still haven't caught up to how fast it moved. So this shelf starts from zero: what AI actually is, the difference between narrow tools and general intelligence, and a vocabulary unit that clears up the twenty terms kids hear thrown around without ever getting defined.

From there it moves into how the tools actually work (large language models, training data, why they sometimes hallucinate wrong answers), then into using AI well: prompt writing, fact-checking, telling a real photo from a generated one. The unit on spotting AI content, deepfakes and AI-written text, is the one I'd prioritize first, because your students are going to run into a cloned voice or a fabricated video before they run into most of the other things on this list.

The later units get into things a textbook hasn't caught up to yet: bias in hiring algorithms, whether AI should be regulated, and what an AI companion actually is, the kind of thing that worries some parents more than it worries their kids. Every worksheet is free, print-and-go, with a full answer key, so you can hand a kid something current without losing a weekend chasing down which story is still true by Monday.
