About More Lessons Less Planning

I'm a high school teacher with over a decade in the classroom, and for the last several years I've taught career-focused credit recovery: the students who need a class period that actually works, not one that just fills time. I hold a bachelor's and a master's degree, both in education, and everything on this site comes out of that training colliding with real rooms of real students.

Away from the building I'm a dad of three young kids, which is why most of this site got built after bedtime, and a long-suffering Browns fan, which is why I understand patience.

Why I started this

I kept rebuilding the same lessons from scratch because I couldn't find anything that fit my students. So I started writing my own: slides, guided notes, an activity that doesn't waste the period, a quiz, an exit ticket, and an answer key for all of it. More Lessons Less Planning is that library, cleaned up and shared.

Why it's free

My dad shows up for every house project I've ever taken on, no questions asked and no invoice after. That's just what you do for your people. Teachers are my people, and I figured the same rule should apply: if I've already built the lesson and it works, you shouldn't have to pay me to use it. What you're getting

Every toolkit here is something I've actually used or built the same way I'd use it: one prep, one class period, nothing missing. I'm not a big operation, it's just me, building this around a full-time teaching schedule and those three kids. That's also why I'm careful about what goes on the shelf. If a lesson hasn't been checked, it doesn't get listed here yet.
