Health Reading Comprehension Worksheets
Health class has a reputation for being an easy elective, but the kids sitting in that room are usually dealing with more than the class gets credit for. This set is grouped into four themes, mental health, drugs and alcohol, nutrition and fitness, and hygiene and disease prevention, each worksheet a straightforward reading passage with real information behind it.
The mental health section covers stress, self-esteem, grief, and when and how to get help, alongside a suicide prevention worksheet that doesn't dance around the topic. The drug and alcohol section is the biggest of the four, going substance by substance, vaping, marijuana, opioids, meth, and how addiction actually changes a teenage brain, plus a full worksheet on peer pressure and refusal skills.
Nutrition and fitness gets into reading nutrition labels, meal planning, sleep, and body image, and the hygiene section rounds it out with first aid, vaccines, and basic health screenings. Every worksheet is free, print-and-go, with a full answer key, built for a health class that has to cover a lot of ground without a lot of extra prep time.
