How This Site Makes Money

I get asked this a lot, so here's the straight answer.

The lessons are free

Every lesson on this site is free to download, right now about 120 and growing. There's no paywall on the catalog and no card number required to get a worksheet. That's not changing.

Ads pay for hosting

Running a site this size costs money, mostly hosting and the tools that keep it working. Ads are how that gets covered. I'm setting up Google AdSense, though it isn't live on the site yet. Once it is, you'll see ad slots like on most sites you visit, and Google's own consent tools handle the cookie banner.

Tips help too

If a lesson saves you real prep time and you want to say thanks, there's a Ko-fi tip jar in the corner of every page. It's completely optional, and it goes straight to me, not through this site.

The supporter tier is coming, not here yet

I'm building a paid supporter tier for a few dollars a month through Payhip. It isn't live yet, so nothing on the site charges you for it today, and the exact price will be on this page when it launches. Supporters will get the self-grading Google Forms versions of the quizzes and exit tickets, one-click copies of everything into their own Drive, and clean ad-free files. When it launches, the free catalog stays exactly as free as it is now.

The email list isn't for sale

If you sign up for new-lesson notes, that list exists for one thing: telling you when I add something new. I don't sell it, rent it, or hand it to anyone else. See the privacy page for the full rundown of how that works.

Why it's set up this way

I'm one teacher, not a company, and I'd rather have a lesson in your hands than behind a paywall. Ads, tips, and the supporter tier are what let the catalog stay free for every teacher, including the ones who never click a single ad or leave a single tip.
