Weather and Water Cycle
Everyday weather and water-cycle art for observation charts, vocabulary practice, and elementary science centers.
Some weather lessons need a small, friendly vocabulary set that students can handle quickly. This one gives me a sun, rain, snow, storm and fluffy clouds, rainbow, water droplet, hot and cold thermometers, umbrella, puddle, snowflake, wind, tornado, and water-cycle arrows. Rain boots, mittens, sunglasses, kite, snowman, and crescent moon add familiar clues children can connect to their own observations.
I'd use it with kindergarten through grade 3 students for a daily weather chart or a center where they sort images by what they see, feel, or measure. One specific activity is a two-part sequence: students build a simple day's forecast first, then place the evaporation, cloud, rain, and collection arrows underneath it. That keeps the weather vocabulary immediate while showing that water moves beyond one rainy day. Color art works well on calendar cards and pocket-chart pieces. Blackline art is ready for coloring, matching, and sentence frames. This set stays intentionally broad and everyday, while the storms collection carries the detailed severe-weather work.
