The Water Cycle and Earths Water
Water cycle and Earth's water clip art for diagrams, water sources, conservation, and elementary science notebooks.
Water doesn't vanish when the rain stops. I use this set to show students where it moves and where it waits, with cycle arrows, rising steam, a forming cloud, river, river rocks, lake, pond, ocean wave, ocean fish, well, underground water layer, glacier, and glacier mountain. A flooded house and cracked dry ground show that water conditions affect communities. A happy droplet, filter pitcher, testing kit, drinking glass, faucet, watering can, water bottle, and raindrops connect the science to daily choices.
It fits grades 2-5 units on evaporation, condensation, collection, freshwater, and conservation. I'd print the arrows and process images as a movable diagram, then have students place the storage locations around it before explaining one route aloud. The kid hydrologist and magnifying glass make useful prompts for evidence and observation. Full-color art works for a class anchor chart or presentation. Blackline versions are useful for labeling, coloring, and a notebook foldable. I keep this set focused on the water system and resource decisions, so it pairs neatly with a separate weather lesson.
