Rocks Minerals and Earths Surface
Rock, mineral, fossil, volcano, and landform art for elementary Earth science and geology activities.
I built this set around the things students can observe, handle, and compare. It shows igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks beside rock-cycle arrows, a purple crystal cluster, gold nugget, green mineral gem, pebbles, and a magnifying glass. Fossil examples include a trilobite, dinosaur bone, and fossil in a rock slab. You'll also find soil layers with an earthworm, volcano and lava, an earthquake crack, seismograph, mountains, cave, canyon, eroded arch, and windblown dune.
This is a strong fit for grades 2-5 units on Earth's changing surface, properties of materials, and geologic evidence. I'd give groups three rock images and a simple sorting sheet, then ask them to defend their choices using texture or formation clues. The kid geologist and rock hammer make a nice header for a classroom investigation, while the landforms support map labeling. Color art works for projected diagrams and vocabulary cards. Blackline art works for student labels, coloring, and notebook sketches. I like that the set supports both a hands-on rock station and a clear rock-cycle review.
