Money and Economics for Kids
Kid-friendly clip art for teaching needs, wants, saving, jobs, buying, selling, trade, and basic economics.
I reach for this set when an economics lesson needs more than a list of vocabulary words. It includes an entrepreneur kid, piggy bank, farm-to-store diagram, producer and consumer diagram, bread, a toy robot, folded clothes, a toolbox, coins, bills, a briefcase, shopping carts, a savings jar, a factory, a delivery truck, and a cash register. The lemonade pitcher and handmade craft stand make the ideas feel close to a child's world.
These images fit kindergarten through fifth-grade units on needs and wants, goods and services, producers and consumers, saving, spending, and trade. I'll use the farm-to-store picture as a sequencing prompt: students place the wheat, bread, truck, shelf, and shopper in order, then explain who does each job. The barter basket and trade handshake support a simple classroom exchange activity without making money the only story. I can print the color art for centers or use the blackline versions for sorting cards, notebook sketches, and a needs-versus-wants foldable.
