Dinosaurs and Fossils
Dinosaur and fossil art for elementary science lessons, timelines, displays, and student projects.
I made this set for the classroom shelves where dinosaur questions tend to multiply. You'll find a T. rex, triceratops, stegosaurus, brachiosaurus, pterosaur, velociraptor, a dinosaur egg, footprint, skull, and baby hatching. Fossil pieces include an ammonite, leaf fossil, amber, and a dinosaur bone. There's also a crossed-bones image, kid paleontologist, dig tools, a dig-site sign, bucket, and shovel.
I'd use these in a grade 1 to 4 unit on fossils, evidence, and how scientists learn about the past. Students could sequence the dig tools, fossil clues, and dinosaur images into a simple "What happened here?" investigation, then label a class timeline. The volcano, fern, palm tree, and meteor give you useful scene details without making the page too busy. Every image comes in full color for slides, centers, or bulletin boards and blackline for coloring, cut-and-sort work, or notebook diagrams. The set works well when you want a little wonder in an Earth science lesson while keeping the task concrete.
